Roma have completed the signing of Argentine midfielder Erik Lamela from River Plate.
The 19-year-old was expected to leave the Argentine giants following their relegation from the country’s top flight – and the Giallorossi were long favourites to secure his signature.
Lamela has committed to Roma for the next five years and will earn an annual salary of €1.5M.
For River Plate the decision to offload Lamela was made simple by their relegation, with the great Argentine side desperately trying to trim their wage bill.
