Paris Saint-Germain look to have pushed through a move for out-of-favour Juventus midfielder Mohamed Sissoko.

Toulouse midfielder enforcer Moussa Sissoko was tracked by the Ligue 1 side, while Blaise Matuidi, another defensive midfielder, has already been signed from Saint-Etienne.

But with the arrival of former Inter coach Leonardo as PSG’s new sporting director, the Brazilian quickly put forward a case for Mohamed Sissoko.

The Mali international was linked with moved to Real Sociedad, Stoke City and Hamburg, but the lure of playing at the Parc des Princes and challenging for the Ligue 1 title looks to have won the day.

PSG have agreed a fee of €7M plus a further €1M in add-ons with Juventus and Sissoko himself is excited about the opportunity.

All that remains is for the 26-year-old to put the finishing touches to his move.
