Samuel Eto’o is expected to officially sign for big spending Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala on Monday or Tuesday according to his agent.

The striker’s transfer had been delayed as minor details relating to his contract and to the fee to be paid to Inter were ironed out.

But now these look all but agreed, and Eto’o is expected to swiftly become an Anzhi Makhachkala player.

Eto’o will receive €20.5M per season for the three years of his contract, while Inter will bank a transfer fee which could rise to €25M, plus add-ons.

"If all goes well, the medical and finalisation of the transfer will take place on Monday or Tuesday", commented Eto’o’s agent Claudio Vigorelli.

Inter will now turn their attention towards finding a replacement for Eto’o, with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Forlan and Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez under serious consideration.
