FC Twente have convinced highly rated winger Nacer Chadli to agree a one-year extension to his current contract.

Chadli was chased by English Premier League outfit Fulham over the summer, but the Tukkers always remained keen on keeping hold of the 22-year-old, especially after selling Bryan Ruiz to the Cottagers.

And the Belgian star has consented to increasing his deal to 2014.

"Tomorrow, at five o’clock in the afternoon, he will put his signature [on a contract]", said Twente supermo Joop Munsterman.

A further boost for the Eredivisie giants is that Chadli’s deal will not include a buy-out clause.

"We want Nacer on a longer deal and therefore there is no clause specifying a transfer fee in the new contract."

Chadli joined Twente in 2010 from lower league Dutch side AGOVV and wasted little time in making himself indispensable to the team.
