Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has admitted that he knows Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli was watching him in action at the weekend, even going so far as to speak to his club’s president.

Boudebouz has been mooted as a target for Liverpool, either in January or the summer – and either would suit 21-year-old if the proposition was an interesting one.

Told by France Football that Comolli was once again in the crowd to watch him as Sochaux beat Lyon 2-1, with Boudebouz scoring from the penalty spot, the midfielder admitted he knew all about it.

"I was told that he had spoken to the president of Sochaux, but I don’t know what they said. We’ll see", said Boudebouz.

"I cannot say I feel like leaving, that would be a lie", added the Algerian.

"For now, there is no proposal, but if there was a compelling opportunity, I could not refuse.

"But, I am at Sochaux at the moment and I am very much with Sochaux."

Boudebouz is under contract until 2013, but is believed to be available for the right price.
