Arsenal are taking an interest in Hoffenheim right back Andreas Beck.

The Germany international has been targeted by Juventus, but the Italians expect to face competition from the Gunners for the 24-year-old.

Beck joined Hoffenheim from Stuttgart in 2008, having picked up the Bundesliga title in 2007 with the Swabians.

The defender is thought to be ready to move on from Hoffenheim though, as he is keen to experience a bigger league and different challenge.

Beck has been hailed as a highly competent full back and was first linked with Juventus over the summer.

No move materalised however, but the likelihood is that firm offers will land on Hoffenheim’s doormat in January.

Beck is under contract with the village club until 2014 and has so far made eleven appearances in the Bundesliga this season.
