Ajax right back Gregory van der Wiel has provided an update on his proposed move to Valencia, stating he expects the switch to go ahead.
Los Che are still talking to Ajax about the exact composition of the deal, but Van der Wiel is standing ready to sign a five-year contract at the Mestalla when everything is agreed.
Indeed, the highly rated Dutch international has been speaking to countryman Hedwiges Maduro, who plays for Valencia, and has had exceptional feedback of life in La Liga.
"The clubs are still negotiating", Van der Wiel told Eredivisie Live.
"I expect it will all be fine. I’ll sign a five-year contract if everything goes well.
"I talk occasionally to Hedwiges Maduro, who has only good words to tell me about the club."
