Rasmus Elm will not force a transfer away from AZ, despite interest from both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, his agent has confirmed.

The Swedish midfielder has taken great strides forward with AZ in the Eredivisie this season and his progress has alerted a number of clubs to his undoubted talent.

Elm has been hailed as potentially one of the finest players Sweden have ever produced and much hype has been attributed to his future in his homeland.

Speculation of offers from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur has grown, with AZ firmly expecting a concrete bid to drop on their doormat next month; there have even been suggestions a deal with one side is done and dusted.

Elm is under contract at the AFAS Stadion until 2013 and despite his delight at being targeted by some of the biggest clubs in world football, will not make life difficult for AZ to force a move.

"I won’t discuss any specific rumours", said Elm’s agent Patrick Mork, adding: "but talk that he has finished negotiations with a club are not true.

"Rasmus is not ruling out any club and is open to all, but he is currently happy at AZ and he’s not going to force a transfer."
