Spanish right back Cesar Azpilicueta has insisted that Chelsea must speak to Marseille if they want to sign him.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window.

And this talk appears to have reached the former Osasuna player’s ears.

"The club [Chelsea] need to talk about it with Marseille", said Azpilicueta when confronted with questions over Andre Villas-Boas’ interest in snapping him up from the Stade Velodrome.

The Spaniard also declared his intention to remain focused on the job at hand with Didier Deschamps’ men and not to become distracted by the prospect of a move to the Premier League.

"I’ve got a contract until 2014 and I’m 100% focused on OM."

Azpilicueta signed for Marseille in 2010 on a deal which could eventually be worth €9.5M to Osasuna.<
