Veteran Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto is targeting a return to the Bundesliga.
The 37-year-old ended his latest spell in German football with Hamburg last year when choosing to head to Qatari side Al Gharafa.
But life in the Middle East does not agree with the former Bayern Munich star, who longs for the cut and thrust of the Bundesliga, while a return to his homeland would also be acceptable.
"The competition, the pressure and even insults from the fans, I miss it all", said Ze Roberto to Der Spiegel.
"It’s too quiet here.
"After the summer, I will be back in Germany or Brazil."
Ze Roberto has explained that he feels able to play at a high level for another two years.
The midfielder has enjoyed notable spells with Real Madrid, Flamengo, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg.
