Marseille are believed to have given the cold shoulder to Tottenham Hotspur’s bid for Loic Remy.

As was confirmed on Saturday, Spurs have made noises over sending proposal to the Stade Velodrome in a bid to lure the 24-year-old to White Hart Lane.

This bid is thought to be a cash sum of €8M plus out-of-favour Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Spurs value the total offer at €18M with Pavlyuchenko rated at the €10M mark.

Marseille however are thought to have taken a dim view of the potential bid, with Remy considered unavailable for transfer unless a suitably large offer lands.

The former Nice striker has provided Marseille’s most consistent goal threat this season and coach Didier Deschamps wants to ensure his stay at the Stade Velodrome.

Spurs then will need to rethink their offer if business is to be done.
