In-demand Schalke star Julian Draxler has played down speculation that he could join Italian powerhouses Inter, but admitted he is well aware of the Nerazzurri’s interest.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs after impressing with the Ruhr giants and speculation in Italy has repeatedly hinted that Draxler is on Inter’s shopping list.
Schalke do not wish to sell their youth product however and it now seems that the player himself is cold on the possibility of joining the Nerazzurri.
"I know about Inter’s interest and it’s a great honour", Draxler told Bild.
"But I won’t move away from here.
"I’ve extended my contract until 2016.
"My heart is here."
