Lokomotiv Moscow are believed to be paying Tottenham Hotspur as much as €17M for Roman Pavlyuchenko.

As was revealed last night as Spurs played Wigan in the English Premier League, Lokomotiv had agreed a fee with the White Hart Lane outfit.

And Pavlyuchenko is due to arrive in Moscow tomorrow to undergo his medical – today the 30-year-old striker agreed personal terms with the Russian Premier League side.

Pavlyuchenko was keen to leave Spurs to enjoy regular playing time, particularly with Euro 2012 on the horizon.

And Lokomotiv for their part are delighted to have signed a goalscorer who is proven in Russian football and who will relish the challenge of once again shining in his homeland.

There could yet be more transfer action involving Russian clubs, with the transfer window in the country open until 25th February.
