The agent of Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud has revealed that there is serious interest in his client from clubs in Spain, England, Germany, Italy and his native France.

Giroud has been on fire in Ligue 1 this season, spearheading Montpellier’s unlikely title push, while he also notched a goal for France in last night’s 2-1 friendly victory over Germany.

Interest in Giroud is building, with Bayern Munich the latest club to start to scout the player; the German giants will have also been impressed with his performance against Joachim Low’s men.

And Guillaume Sola, Giroud’s representative, well admits that his client is setting pulses racing in the biggest leagues in Europe.

"The interest in Olivier comes from all four major European leagues: the Spanish league, the German league, the English and Italian leagues", Sola told Midi Libre.

But while Giroud’s agent did not name names from abroad, he did identify those French sides who have also taken a liking to his client.

"There’s also Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille and Lyon, and one of those three are much more interested than the other two."

Giroud is expected to be hot property in the summer, though the jury is out on where exactly the former Tours man may end up.
