Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia has admitted that contact has been made with Arsenal and Real Madrid, but insisted the latter is his priority all things being equal.

The Argentine schemer is expected to leave Anderlecht this summer, with his desire being to play in a bigger league and for a more renowned member of Europe’s elite driving the move.

This, Biglia hopes, will push his cause with the Argentina national team, and lead to his game reaching the next level.

A number of clubs have been repeatedly linked with a swoop for the midfielder, though Arsenal and Real Madrid look the most persistent.

And despite both having spoken to Biglia, it is Los Blancos that are in the box seat.

"Yes, there’s been contact with Real Madrid and Arsenal. Now we wait", the Anderlecht star told AS.

"If Real decide to make an offer, everything else fades into the background", he added.

"Real Madrid are my priority – we’ll see what happens."

And whatever does befall Biglia in the summer, he readily admits his time at Anderlecht looks to be coming to an end.

"I have a contract with Anderlecht until 2015, but the club know what I want. My intention is to leave.

"I have a clause to leave and a club just need to pay that price. In January there was a large offer from Fiorentina, which was refused because we were in the middle of the season. I hope the situation will be different this time."
