While Manchester City and Manchester United battle for the signature of Eden Hazard, the player’s brother is also attracting the attention of one of Europe’s bigger sides.

Thorgan Hazard who, like his brother Eden, can operate as an attacking midfielder and winger, is currently under contract with Ligue 2 outfit Lens, but his future could, just like his better known sibling, be outside France.

Indeed, the 19-year-old is wanted by Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, whose scouts have been impressed with what they have witnessed when watching the Belgian starlet.

Thorgan has seen Lens finish in the lower reaches of France’s second tier, and a switch to one of Portugal’s biggest clubs would surely appeal.

The midfielder is a Belgium Under-19 international and has won 19 caps, scoring nine goals, for the side.

Eden has claimed that Thorgan has more talent than that which resides in his own boots, but the Lens star is refreshingly modest about his brother’s comments.

"You can only be happy when you hear that", Thorgan told Foot Goal.

"But it’s very difficult to have more talent than my brother."

Thorgan Hazard has made 13 appearances in Ligue 2 for Lens this season, providing one assist.

He is under contract with the northern France club until 2013.
