Holland striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been left fuming by coach Bert van Marwijk’s decision to start Robin van Persie up front for the Oranje in the country’s Euro 2012 opener against Denmark.

Within Holland whether Van Marwijk should opt for Huntelaar or Van Persie to lead the line has been the subject of much debate, with many siding with the Schalke penalty box poacher.

But it seems Huntelaar has lost out after the 28-year-old admitted to being "disappointed and angry" about making way for Van Persie against the Danes.

"I am disappointed and angry", said the former Real Madrid hitman.

However, Huntelaar also vowed to keep a lid on his feelings for the sake of squad harmony.

"Now I prefer to keep quiet and continue to train hard", he said.

"It would not make sense to talk about it."

The 28-year-old was on fire in Germany’s Bundesliga last season, scoring an incredible 29 goals in just 32 games. He also hit 14 in only 12 Europa League appearances.
