South African defender Bongani Khumalo has completed a season-long loan switch to Greek Super League giants PAOK Salonika.

Khumalo has left English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur to join PAOK, bringing down the curtain on a hugely disappointing spell at White Hart Lane.

The centre back joined Spurs in January 2011 for a fee of £1.5M from South African side Supersport United.

In England though Khumalo failed to settle, despite spells on loan with Preston North End and Reading.

Now the defender will look to relaunch his career in Greece.

PAOK Salonika finished third in last season’s Super League, behind Panathinaikos and champions Olympiacos.
