Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he has not yet finished his business in this summer’s transfer market and is planning to bring in more players.

The Gunners have already bought Montpellier starlet Olivier Giroud and Cologne forward Lukas Podolski and Wenger’s admission that he is still looking for further additions is exciting news for the Gunners faithful.

Wenger’s statement will reignite rumours linking the Emirates outfit with Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila and Malaga winger Santi Cazorla.

The French tactician looked in a good mood while addressing a press conference in Beijing. He stated that the club had actually secured four new signings rather than two, by including the names of Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby in the list of new arrivals. Even though both players have been with the Gunners for several years, Wenger believes they are almost new signings for season as both have not featured in the club’s line-up for more than a year.

“We bought Giroud and Podolski and I hope that we bought Diaby and Wilshere too, who didn’t play at all last season”, said the 62-year-old. ”We will add Wilshere to the squad as soon as possible”, he commented, indicating that the player is close to making a return to training.

And Wenger made his plans for the remaining transfer window clear by adding, “We are not at the end of it – we will still bring players in”.

This is good news for Arsenal fans who were starting to fear that the club may have ended its activities in this year’s summer transfer window after addressing the team’s issues in the forward line.

However, it seems that Tomas Rosicky’s injury and the inevitable departure of Robin van Persie have forced the former Monaco manager to rethink his transfer strategy this summer.
