Eden Hazard has insisted that he is not feeling any pressure from Chelsea’s decision to splurge €40M on his services this summer.

The Champions League winners snapped up Hazard from Lille as part of plans to once again fight for the Premier League title and also defend their European crown.

Rated as one of the brightest prospects in world football and having been voted Ligue 1 Player of the Year in two successive seasons at Lille, the expectations of Hazard are sky high.

But the 21-year-old is feeling thoroughly relaxed and admits he would have trouble reading any criticism anyway, as his English is not yet good enough.

"I do not have to deal with the criticism of the press. My English is not good enough and my teacher is sick", said the forward.

"I feel no pressure because Chelsea paid so much for me. I am very relaxed.

"In the meantime I have found a house near our training ground, an hour’s drive from central London. It is very quiet."

Hazard’s Chelsea face Premier League champions Manchester City later today, in the traditional English season curtain-raiser, the Community Shield.
