PSV Eindhoven are ready to sell Swedish striker Ola Toivonen this summer after Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan indicated a desire to buy the 26-year-old.

According to Dutch daily De Telgraaf, Rubin Kazan have let it be known that they are prepared to pay €9M to sign Toivonen, an amount which could open the door for an exit from the Philips Stadion.

Dick Advocaat’s men are thought to have judged that Toivonen can be sold, especially as, with a contract that is set to expire in 2014, this summer represents the former Malmo man’s peak value period.

Rubin Kazan are also prepared to make the striker extremely well paid if he agrees to land in Russia.

A contract worth between €2M and €2.5M has been drawn up and the club are hopeful Toivonen will give the green light to the move.

The Swedish striker cost PSV €4M to sign from Malmo in 2009, but has struggled to live up to sky high expectations, despite regularly finding the back of the net.

Toivonen has bagged 52 goals in 108 Eredivisie matches for PSV.
