Manchester City forward Emmanuel Adebayor has heaped praise on Paris Saint-Germain for signing world-class players this summer, particularly Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The former Arsenal forward has labelled Ibrahimovic ‘one of the best strikers in the world’ and stated that he has much respect for the former AC Milan hitman.

“Recruiting Ibrahimovic was a great decision [by PSG]", Adebayor told French radio station RMC.

"He is an extraordinary player. When fit, he is an unstoppable player”

He poured further praise on Ibrahimovic, who scored two goals on his debut game against Lorient at the weekend as PSG drew 2-2, commenting that the Sweden international is great player and has joined a side which has a number of motivated individuals in the team.

"I respect him a lot, because he is one of the best strikers in the world.

“I wish him good luck in France. He is part of a group of great players who are still motivated to be good."

Adebayor turned out in French football for seven years, representing Metz and Monaco before moving to England to sign for Arsenal.

The Togolese forward, who is now under contract with Manchester City, spent a year on loan at Tottenham Hotspur last season and is expecting a move away from the Citizens.
