Radamel Falcao is wanted by Chelsea and Manchester City, but is dreaming of playing for Real Madrid, according to his father.

The Colombian, who currently turns out for Los Blancos’ city rivals Atletico Madrid, recently underlined his world-class status by firing a hat-trick past Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup final, as Diego Simeone’s men ran out comfortable 4-1 winners.

And Simeone was quick to admit that he was delighted the transfer window had closed, as such a performance would surely have led to a flurry of offers for the former FC Porto man.

Falcao does have suitors, though they are in England, rather than at the Bernabeu, his father Radamel Garcia has told Colombian radio station Todelar.

"The dream of my son is Real Madrid", Falcao’s father said.

"But, I understand that those who are interested are Manchester City and Chelsea."

Falcao senior then stressed yet again that his son’s dream is to turn out for Los Blancos, pulling on the famous white shirt, in comments which are sure to anger Atletico Madrid fans.

"His dream is Real Madrid. He has always wanted to play for Real Madrid since he was little."

For now however Falcao remains at the Vicente Calderon and he will be targeting continuing the superb form he has already shown so far this season.

The 26-year-old is under contract with Atletico Madrid until 2016.
