Santi Cazorla has expressed his delight at playing for Arsenal, having joined the Gunners this summer from La Liga outfit Malaga.

The Spain winger was sold by Manuel Pellegrini’s men, who have suffered from a financial malaise, to raise vital funds. And Arsenal were only too happy to provide Cazorla’s new home.

At the Emirates Stadium, Cazorla has settled in perfectly and the Spaniard could not be happier with what is required of him by manager Arsene Wenger.

"I ended up at a club that fights for titles and it is my goal to enjoy playing football in a different league and different culture", Cazorla told El Pais.

"Arsenal paid a lot of money for me, the role I have been given at the club is one that I like to fill", he continued.

"I do not find it hard for me to adjust.

"I love the way the team play football."

And the Spaniard spoke specifically about the job Arsenal manager Wenger has given him.

"The boss gave me a role behind the striker, which I freely perform. I’ve almost always played on the wing and come inside for space.

"Wenger has put me right behind the striker."
