Zlatan Ibrahimovic is “Idol” of Marseille Striker Jordan Ayew

Monday, 24th September, 2012

Just two weeks before Marseille are due to host Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, Jordan Ayew has revealed his admiration for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ayew has been part of Marseille’s impressive start to the new season in France, making six appearances in the league so far and scoring one goal.

The striker will be expected to be in top form for the visit of Marseille’s fierce rivals and he should not be lacking in motivation, playing against someone he readily admits is his "idol".

"PSG are impressive", said Ayew, after his side beat Evian yesterday.

"It is true, I’m not going to hide it, Ibrahimovic is my idol, but we’ll see what happens in two weeks", he added.

"In that match, everything is possible."

Before the PSG game, Marseille face a tough trip to Valenciennes as they seek to maintain their leadership of Ligue 1.
