Anderlecht have admitted that midfielder Lucas Biglia could be sold in January if an offer of €8M lands in Brussels.

Biglia has been linked with a number of sides over the last 18 months and is keen to move to a bigger club to further his international ambitions with Argentina.

relatedNewsStoryWhile it is by no means certain that any side will make a bid for 25-year-old, Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck has sketched out a situation where Biglia could leave.

"If circumstances cause us to lose a player from the team, for example if a club offers €8M for Biglia, we will look for a replacement of comparable quality."

The Anderlecht transfer supremo indicated though that the club will be active in the winter window regardless of whether Biglia leaves or not.

"Besides this, the intention is to scan the market for two or three positions where we have seen in the Champions League that we are short.

"Our aim is to strengthen to ensure we are celebrating our 32nd title at the end of the season."

Anderlecht currently sit fourth in the Jupiler Pro League and suffered a painful defeat before the international break, with a 2-1 loss to rivals Standard Liege.

Tomorrow they will bid to bounce back when they host Waasland-Beveren.
