The agent of promising Romanian defender Vlad Chiriches has confirmed that his client is being tracked by a whole host of clubs, including Chelsea, AC Milan, Inter and Zenit St. Petersburg.

Chiriches currently turns out in his homeland with Steaua Bucharest and has made waves with his performances for the Romanian giants. The 22-year-old has also cut an accomplished figure at international level too, picking up 14 caps so far.

The defender is attracting scouts to Romania to watch him and Steaua’s owner Gigi Becali has explained that he was personally called by French outfit Lyon to enquire about the starlet over the summer.

Becali is well aware of Chiriches’ potential and has warned potential suitors that they must act quickly, with every good display from the defender upping his value by millions.

Now Chiriches agent, Viktor Becali, has spoken out on exactly which sides want his client, specifying names and also commenting that there are a whole host of clubs tracking the starlet.

"I can confirm that Milan are watching my client", said Becali, questioned by Calcio Mercato.

relatedNewsStory"Their director [Ariedo] Braida has seen him play several times, both internationally and with his club team, but there is still nothing concrete about it. It’s too early."

Becali was also asked about Chelsea’s interest, to which he replied that there are more than just the Blues keen.

"Chelsea interested in my client? There are so many that track him. There is also Inter and Zenit. But as I said, there is nothing concrete."

Becali did admit that Chiriches could be available in January, for the right price, but the agent insists it is essential to wait for the transfer window to open again as the picture is at present unclear.

"I don’t know if he could leave in January, it depends on the offers, which for the moment are not there.

"Maybe they will be right when the market officially opens."
