Kaka has denied wanting to leave Real Madrid over the summer and pledged his future to the Spanish giants.

The attacking midfielder looked to be surplus to requirements in the summer transfer window, with Jose Mourinho preferring Mesut Ozil, while he also brought in Luka Modric from Tottenham Hotspur in Kaka’s position.

However, despite Los Blancos making the 30-year-old available for the right price, there were no takers, in part because of the Brazilian’s large salary, which is thought to be around €10M per year.

Lately though, Kaka has begun to force himself back into the first team picture and has so far made three appearances for Real Madrid in La Liga.

He is hopeful that, having reclaimed a place in the Brazil squad, he can now push on under Mourinho at the Bernabeu.

"Even this summer, when there were a lot of rumours, I never thought of leaving", Kaka told Brazilian daily Estadio.

"I have a three-year contract.

"I want to stay here, earn my place and win titles."
