Jordan Lukaku, the brother of striker Romelu Lukaku, has clarified his immediate future, insisting he will not leave Belgian giants Anderlecht.

The promising 18-year-old, who can play all along the left side, was in action recently against Tottenham Hotspur in the NextGen Series, a game that ended 1-1.

Lukaku stood out, putting in a superb performance in front of watching scouts, which further suggested it is only a matter of time before the bids start arriving on Anderlecht’s doorstep for the youngster.

One club which has already been solidly linked with Lukaku is West Brom, where his brother Romelu is currently on loan from Chelsea.

But, unlike Romelu, who headed abroad in the summer of 2011, Jordan Lukaku has his immediate future well mapped out – and it is at Anderlecht.

"I don’t care about scouts", said the left-sided talent to Belgian daily Derniere Heure.

Lukaku did take time to question the league format of the Belgian top flight though, which sees the top six teams enter a Championship Group playoff system at the end of the season to decide who will be crowned champions.

For the Anderlecht starlet, it is bonkers.

"We are alone in the world in having made a championship bizarre", he said.

"The playoffs, it really doesn’t do anything, but it is ultimately the only thing that matters.

"I will always remember that season where Standard [Liege] were completely passed by during the regular championship before winning eight of ten games in the playoffs. Ultimately, Liege became champions! This is completely absurd."
