Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he is loving being a father, with the experience one he says is "like a dream".

The Real Madrid forward’s son is two years old and some observers have pointed to an increased maturity from the Portuguese since he became a father.

And Ronaldo is enjoying the experience, explaining that he thinks having a child is the best thing in life.

Asked about how Cristiano the father is, by CNN World Sport, he replied: "I think I’m not bad. I still learn, but I think it’s the best thing in life to have a kid."

The striker then expanded on his experience and the joy it has brought to him.

"And I think it’s, it’s like a dream. To wake up in the morning and to see him and say "daddy daddy" it’s like a feeling like if you really have a kid, who will know what I’m talking about. It’s great. I love it."

Pressed on just how many nappies he has changed, Ronaldo did admit he has changed a few, with that not being the most fun.

"I’ve changed a few", he said.

"[It is] not my real challenge to change diapers and I really do not like a lot, but I change a few ones. It’s normal I’m not crazy to do that. I prefer doing other things.

"To give him a shower, it’s much easier. To put shampoo and conditioner it’s much easier and more fun."

With Ronaldo looking content in his personal life, the only challenge that remains is now helping Real Madrid to retain the Spanish La Liga title they won last season.

And on another note, the Portuguese is also bidding to win this year’s Ballon d’Or, although he faces tough opposition from Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
