Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has stressed that his side believe they can return from Turin with a positive result this evening.

The Blues travel to Italy to face Juventus in what looks a crucial Champions League clash (preview here), with one of the two sides appearing set to drop into the Europa League given Shakhtar Donetsk’s form in the same group.

The Champions League holders are level on seven points with Shakhtar Donetsk, with Juventus one behind on six. But with the Ukrainians set to play group whipping boys FC Nordsjaelland, and expected to win, they could be on ten points by the end of the evening.

And were Juventus to then win, the Italian giants would move up to nine points, leaving Chelsea with much to do.

Di Matteo is well aware that to keep the Blues very much in the driving seat, Chelsea must avoid defeat in Turin, with a win being the dream outcome.

And the Italian insists his side are well aware of the task ahead and are in good heart.

"We know the importance of the game so motivation will be very high", he told his club’s official site.

"The players have to have belief in themselves, that’s the most important aspect.

"We work together and we’re all in it together, we have a good team, a good group and we believe we can get a positive result."

The two sides look well matched, with the earlier Champions League clash between the two ending as an entertaining 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
