Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is confident that the Reds can get a good result against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Wednesday.

The Reds could only manage a 0-0 draw away at Swansea City yesterday which, although frustrating, did extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to eight games.

Liverpool then travel to White Hart Lane with real confidence that they are now a hard-to-beat team and also with a sense of belief that three points can be taken against Andre Villas-Boas’ men.

"We have extended our unbeaten run now in the league to eight games and we are getting that consistency now which we want", Allen told his club’s official site.

"We would like to pick up more wins, that goes without saying, but we are confident that in the coming matches that’s going to come.

"We will go to White Hart Lane with a high level of confidence and are confident we can get a good result."

Liverpool will need to turn around poor recent history at White Hart Lane if they are going to return to Anfield with the three points, or even just one point, though.
