Scouts from Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be present at the Amsterdam ArenA on Saturday to watch Kevin Strootman in action, according to Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

Strootman’s PSV Eindhoven side head to Amsterdam to take on Ajax in a crunch Eredivisie clash and talent spotters are set to use the opportunity to watch the 22-year-old in action against the Dutch champions.

The Holland international has been attracting scouts from some of England’s biggest clubs to PSV’s games on a regular basis, with Arsene Wenger’s chief talent spotter Steve Rowley having already taken on some of Strootman’s displays; Rowley is expected to be Arsenal’s representative at the weekend clash.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be sending his brother Martin Ferguson to the match, which is a sign of the seriousness of the Red Devils’ interest, given that he regularly casts his eye over players the club are taking special note of.

It is not clear who Spurs will send to Holland, but Andre Villas-Boas’ side are also keen observers of Strootman.

The 22-year-old joined PSV in the summer of 2011 and went on to make an impact at the Philips Stadion last season.

His good performances saw him rewarded with more regular playing time at senior international level with the Oranje.

So far this season Strootman has made 14 appearances in the Eredivisie for PSV, scoring five goals in the process and creating three more.

The Dutch giants are not thought keen on losing the midfielder, but would find it hard to resist offers which handed them a substantial profit on their investment in the player.

Strootman is under contract with PSV until 2016.
