Arsenal have been linked with rivalling AC Milan for the signature of Valencia’s French defender Adil Rami.

According to Tutto Mercato, Rami is interesting Arsene Wenger’s men, with Milan also keen on snapping up the centre-back from Los Che.

The Rossoneri have been watching Rami for some time and are impressed with the progress he has made in La Liga; Rami signed for Valencia from Lille in January 2011, though he only made the move at the end of the 2010/11 campaign.

He enjoyed a solid first season in Spain last year, winning plaudits for his displays in the heart of Valencia’s defence and helping Los Che to finish third behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.

It is little surprise that the 26-year-old is attracting attention from elsewhere, but it remains to be seen whether Valencia will be willing to cash in on Rami.

The defender has clocked up 12 appearances in La Liga this season for Los Che.
