AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has added fuel to the fire of speculation that the Rossoneri could move to sign Mario Balotelli from Manchester City, by insisting the Italy striker is not only a dream for the club.

Balotelli has struggled to win a place in the starting eleven at Manchester City under Roberto Mancini so far this season and there has been talk that Milan could make a move to bring him back to his homeland.

And Berlusconi has not completely dismissed the idea, by claiming that signing the striker is not just the stuff of dreams.

"Balotelli? This is not a dream", the Milan supremo told Sky Sport Italia when asked.

The 22-year-old has started just six Premier League matches for Manchester City in the current campaign, while he has appeared in a further six from the bench.

In that time the former Inter man has found the back of the net just once.

Affording the Italy star would be a big ask for the Rossoneri were they to decide to launch a bid however, given his salary in England.

Balotelli is highly-rated by the Citizens and is under contract until 2015 at the Etihad Stadium, but has attracted much controversy, at times prompting talk he could be set to leave.
