Serie A champions Juventus are considering making a move for out-of-favour Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh, according to Italian daily La Stampa.

The Bianconeri want to sign another striker in next month’s transfer window, following an injury sustained to Nicklas Bendtner, which could keep the on-loan hitman on the sidelines for quite some time.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte has been less than convinced by Bendtner too, meaning another frontman was on the side’s agenda regardless of an injury to the Dane – although his knock has sped up the urgency of the hunt.

The Serie A side have been linked with Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Adebayor and Sergio Floccari – and now Chamakh is under genuine consideration in Turin.

Chamakh is well down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium and looks to have little chance of forcing his way into Arsene Wenger’s first team. Indeed, he has yet to even appear in the Premier League so far this season.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Serie A before.

Fiorentina chased Chamakh over the summer, but withdrew their interest after discovering how much he takes home from Arsenal.

While Inter have also taken a look at the former Bordeaux man.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus will firm up their initial interest in Chamakh.
