Anzhi Makhachkala are bidding to persuade Guus Hiddink to reverse his decision to stand down at the end of the season.

Hiddink has declared his intention to step back from front line coaching when the current campaign is complete, with the Dutchman feeling at 66 years old the time is right to move out of the firing line.

However, Anzhi Makhachkala are desperate for Hiddink to stay and, according to Life Sports, are ready to make the former Real Madrid manager an even richer man if he remains at the club.

Hiddink's new contract would see him pocket €1M per month, as part of a €12M per year deal.
