Sebastien Squillaci has admitted his time at Arsenal is coming to an end, possibly as soon as this month.

The 32-year-old has struggled for playing time at the Gunners and has been giving much thought about to where he would head, with his homeland of France undoubtedly the destination and even the region itself something Squillaci has decided upon.

"Depending on the proposals, I will leave", the stopper told French daily Var-Matin.

"Maybe during the January transfer window or else I will wait until June", he continued.

"Returning to the PACA region [around the Alps, Cote d’Azur, Monaco area, ed.] is something that interests me.

"Marseille, Nice, Monaco, Bastia or Ajaccio, are clubs that are speak with me.

"I will choose depending upon the opportunities that arise."

The defender joined Arsenal in 2010 from La Liga giants Sevilla.

He played only once in the Premier League last season and has so far to make a start in the English top flight for Arsene Wenger’s men this year, although he has turned out in the Champions League.

Within France Squillaci counts both Monaco and Ajaccio as former clubs from within the PACA region.
