Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim has hit out at the time it is taking Wesley Sneijder to decide over a switch to the Turk Telekom Arena.

Sneijder’s current club Inter have accepted an offer of €10M for the Holland international and are bidding to move him on during this month’s transfer window.

He has been frozen out of the first team picture at the Nerazzurri after refusing to sign a new contract which would see him take a €2M per year wage cut.

The former Real Madrid man is stalling on Galatasaray though, with the English Premier League his preferred destination.

But now Sneijder’s waiting game has annoyed Terim, who has taken the unusual step of blasting a player his club are trying to sign.

"When Sneijder wants to come to Galatasaray, it must be because he sees us as his first choice", Terim was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

"Galatasaray is not a toy for anyone and players who play for Galatasaray do not see it as an alternative, but as their first choice."

Sneijder is not likely to look kindly upon Terim’s words, with moving to Turkey a big decision for the playmaker to take.

It would represent a switch outside Europe’s elite leagues at the peak of his career, although the financial package put together for him in Istanbul is a lucrative one.
