Neymar has denied having a secret agreement to join Barcelona when he does eventually leave Brazil.

The Santos striker has been consistently linked with Barcelona and there are many at the Camp Nou who dream of pairing the 20-year-old up with Lionel Messi.

But Neymar, who has also been chased by Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, is intent on remaining in his homeland of Brazil, at least until the time his Santos contract ends in 2014.

And he insisted that he does not have an agreement with Barcelona.

"I have not agreed with Barcelona or any other club", Neymar told El Pais.

"The only thing that is certain is that I have a contract with Santos and that I am happy.

"This is a fantastic club and I have a contract until the summer of 2014.

"The most important thing for me is that I am happy, along with my family, my friends and my club. My goal is to help Santos and Brazil."

Neymar was recently voted the best player in South American football and there is no doubt that when he chooses to leave Santos there will be a large bidding war for his signature.

The forward is rated as being able to reach the astonishing level set by Messi during recent years, if he can fulfil his potential.

Last season he made his 200th appearance for Santos, despite being just 20 years old.
