AC Milan have admitted they are working hard to sign Kaka from Real Madrid.

Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani will travel to Madrid on Tuesday night week for face-to-face talks with Los Blancos to try to find a solution which would bring Kaka back to the club he left in 2009.

The main stumbling block is Kaka’s salary, which is thought to be around the €10M per year mark, and is too much for Milan to afford.

However, Kaka has indicated a willingness to make a sacrifice and Milan have been encouraged that they can do a deal, likely to be initially a loan.

"The only negotiations ongoing at the moment are with Real Madrid for Kaka", Galliani told Milan’s official site.

"There are big numbers involved and it is a complicated deal. We will have to use all our imagination.

"Us, Real and Kaka. We all have to be willing to accept sacrifices. The salary is no longer possible in Italy and we’ll have to find alternative solutions. Real want to let him go, we want to get him and he wants to come, but it’s all very complicated."

Kaka is surplus to requirements under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid and is keen to find a solution which would see him receive regular first team football.

Heading back to Milan is the Brazilian’s priority and it does appear likely he will pull on a Rossoneri shirt once again sooner rather than later.
