Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim are interested in French midfielder Alou Diarra, who is out of favour at current club West Ham.

Diarra could well leave Upton Park this month and, according to Telefoot, he has attracted attention from Germany.

The 31-year-old’s suitors from the Bundesliga are Hoffenheim, who believe Diarra could add real steel to their midfield and aid in their battle to remain in the German top flight.

Hoffenheim, who sacked former Liverpool defender Markus Babbel as coach earlier this season, currently sit in the relegation playoff place, in 16th.

Diarra does have experience of German football, having turned out for Bayern Munich’s second string early in his career, before he made his first move to England, joining Liverpool.

The France international looks surplus to requirements at West Ham, a side he joined in the summer, and has barely featured for Sam Allardyce’s men.
