Roma have been linked with appointing former France coach Laurent Blanc should they choose to replace Zdenek Zeman.

The veteran coach is coming under serious pressure at the Giallorossi, with the team having slipped to just eighth in the Serie A standings.

Zeman’s insistence on an ultra-attacking approach has resulted in Roma shipping 38 goals in their 22 Serie A matches so far.

Only one side in the league have conceded more, Pescara, who are fighting for survival.

Now, according to Sky Sport 24, Roma are thinking about what a post-Zeman landscape could look like.

And Blanc is the man favoured in the Italian capital.

The 47-year-old is a free agent following his departure as France coach after Euro 2012 last summer.

He experienced Italian football as a player, turning out for Inter between 1999 and 2001.
