AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani believes that the club’s current coach Massimiliano Allegri is a lot like Carlo Ancelotti.

Allegri has presided over a recovery in the fortunes of Milan in recent weeks, with last night’s 2-1 victory over Udinese putting the Rossoneri up to fourth in Serie A.

Indeed, Milan have won eight of their last ten games in Serie A, with the major blip being Roma’s 4-2 victory over the Rossoneri towards the end of December.

And Galliani can see shades of Ancelotti in Allegri, whom he believes is a cool customer.

"Allegri will still be Milan’s coach next season", he told reporters.

"He is a good tactician and we have always known that.

"He reminds me of Carlo Ancelotti because he is so balanced."

Allegri will now be aiming to steer Milan back into the top three to secure Champions League football for the club next season.

Challenging for the Serie A title this season looks unlikely though, with league leaders Juventus enjoying a 12-point lead over the Rossoneri.
