Lionel Messi Embodies Perfection – Arsenal Defender Nacho Monreal Lavishes Praise On Barcelona Star

Tuesday, 12th February, 2013

New Arsenal signing Nacho Monreal believes that Lionel Messi "embodies perfection" as a player.

Monreal was snapped up by Arsene Wenger’s Gunners on the final day of the winter transfer window, moving from Malaga to Arsenal for a fee of €10M.

The left-back got more than a close look at Messi in La Liga and has been left utterly impressed by the four-time Ballon d’Or winner.

So much so that he rates the Argentine as the perfect player.

"The best player [in the world] is Messi – he makes everything look so easy", Monreal explained to his club’s official site.

"He has everything in his locker, every player looks to him", continued the Spaniard.

"He does things that no one else can do, and he embodies football and embodies perfection."

Monreal will not now have to worry about facing Messi, having moved to the Premier League, unless Arsenal are unfortunate enough to draw Barcelona in the Champions League.

The 26-year-old was handed a vote of confidence by Wenger recently, with the Frenchman shipping out fellow left-back Andre Santos on loan to Brazilian outfit Gremio.
