We Hope Manchester United Sign Him – Agent of Ecuador Defender Confirms Red Devils Scouting His Client

Sunday, 17th February, 2013

Manchester United have been paying close attention to Ecuadorian defender Frickson Erazo, his agent has claimed.

The 24-year-old currently turns out for Barcelona SC in his homeland, while he is a regular for the Ecuador national team, having picked up 21 caps to date.

Erazo has been linked with heading to Europe recently and his agent has confirmed that several European clubs are keen on the stopper, of which one are Manchester United.

"We’ve had talks with some Portuguese teams, who were very interested in buying him", the player’s representative Orlando Villarreal was quoted as saying by Calcio Mercato.

"Then, however, he was watched by a scout from Manchester United, who we know are on the hunt for a centre-back.

"Now we hope they decide to buy him. It would be a great achievement for him."

It remains to be seen whether Erazo will end up at Old Trafford, but the Red Devils already have one of the defender’s international team-mates on the books, in the form of winger Antonio Valencia.
