Thorgan Hazard has revealed he still dreams of pulling on a Chelsea shirt and is sure he has enough time to realise his ambition.

The attacking midfielder was snapped up by the European champions from French outfit Lens last summer, landing at Stamford Bridge along with his brother Eden Hazard, who was bought from Lille for €40M.

Unlike his brother, who instantly slotted into the Blues first team, Thorgan Hazard was sent out on a season-long loan with Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Zulte Waregem.

The 19-year-old has performed well in Belgium, helping Zulte Waregem to shock the Jupiler Pro League – they currently sit second in the standings.

And while Hazard is not opposed to staying for an extra season, especially if the Champions League is on the menu, he does dream of playing at Stamford Bridge.

"My decision to leave Chelsea for Zulte Waregem surprised many people", he told Belgian TV programme Tribune.

"I wanted to play in the first team, even if the level of the reserves at Chelsea is also very high.

"At Zulte, there is a good atmosphere in the squad. There are many young and old, who do not take the lead. I honestly did not imagine that we would be second.

"Chelsea? Obviously it is a dream to wear their shirt.

"Now, I am aware that there are a lot of great players. I have time, I am still young."

Hazard could stay in Belgium for another year though, especially if the Champions League comes to Zulte Waregem.

"I hope we qualify.

"It is a dream, but we do not talk about it in the dressing room. We want to continue our good run."
