Liverpool have decided to sell winger Oussama Assaidi in the summer if a suitable offer arrives.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Reds have opted to put the Moroccan on their list of available players after being unconvinced with his progress at the club.

Assaidi was snapped up by Liverpool from Dutch side Heerenveen last summer and tipped for big things, landing with the moniker of the "Maghrebian Messi", due to his dribbling ability.

Liverpool even beat Ajax to the signature of the 24-year-old, but he has hardly featured for the Reds this season.

Indeed, Assaidi has made only three Premier League appearances for Liverpool, with all of those coming from the bench.

He has featured more regularly in the Europa League, with seven games in Liverpool’s run to the last 32 of the second tier European competition.

But Assaidi does not appear to have convinced manager Brendan Rodgers of his qualities and Liverpool will allow him to leave in the summer for the right price.
