Tottenham Hotspur and West Brom have reportedly asked Zenit St. Petersburg about the availability of Slovak defender Tomas Hubocan.

According to a Russian agent familiar with the player, the 27-year-old has interested English clubs for some time.

"Hubocan has long been in the field of view of English Premier League sides", LifeSports.ru quoted a Russian agent as saying.

Snapping up Hubocan may not be an easy task for Spurs or West Brom however, with the stopper one of Spalletti’s favoured options in the heart of the Zenit defence.

And, financially sound, Zenit are under no pressure to sell the Slovak defender.

However, it remains possible Hubocan’s head may be turned by the chance to play in the Premier League, and he could push for a switch.

So far this season Hubocan has made 14 appearances for Zenit in the Russian Premier League, while he also played five times for the club in the Champions League and featured in both recent Europa League matches against Liverpool.
