In-demand Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has revealed that his international team-mate Luis Suarez is always trying to persuade him to move to play his football in England.

The pair form a fearsome frontline at international level with Uruguay, but on the club scene they operate in different leagues, with Cavani gracing Serie A with the Azzurri and Suarez turning out for Liverpool in the Premier League.

And Suarez would love his countryman to follow him to England.

"When I speak with Suarez, he often talks about his admiration for Liverpool and the Premier League", Cavani was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

"He even encourages me to come and play in England", the Napoli striker added.

There is little doubt that the prolific Cavani would have no shortage of options if he chose to make the move to the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has expressed his admiration for the Uruguayan, while Manchester City have also been consistently linked with making a move for his services.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis however has slapped a €70M asking price on the 26-year-old’s head, despite admitting that it is Cavani himself who will have the final word on his future.

It remains to be seen if the silver-tongued Suarez has convinced Cavani to try his luck in the Premier League.
